We build tools developers actually want to use
lacai is a small, focused team. We ship AI-native tools that fit into real workflows without getting in the way. No bloat, no hype, just things that work.
Our story
Started from frustration, built with purpose
lacai started in 2023 when Godspower Patrick got tired of AI tools that looked impressive in demos but fell apart in actual use. Most of them were wrappers around the same APIs, dressed up with marketing copy and priced like enterprise software.
The goal was simple: build tools that solve real problems for developers and job seekers, keep them fast, and charge a fair price. That thinking still drives every product we ship.
We are based in Nigeria and work with a small remote team. We have shipped LacPointer, LacCode Studio, lac-cli, and VibePi. Each one came from a real need, not a trend.
The team
People behind the products
Godspower Patrick
Founder and CEO
Godspower started lacai to build the tools he wished existed. He handles product direction, engineering, and most of the things in between.
Ayomide Oloyede
Developer
Ayomide works across the stack, helping ship features and keep things running smoothly. He cares a lot about code quality and user experience.
What we believe
How we think about building
Tools should get out of the way
A good tool does its job and disappears. We do not add features to look impressive. We add them when they make the work faster or easier.
Fair pricing, no tricks
We charge for what we build and we are upfront about it. No dark patterns, no surprise charges, no free tier that breaks the moment you actually need it.
Ship, learn, improve
We move fast and we are not afraid to be wrong. When something is not working we fix it. When users tell us something is broken we listen.
Built for everyone, not just Silicon Valley
We are a team from Nigeria building for a global audience. We think about developers and job seekers everywhere, not just the ones with fast internet and big budgets.
Try what we build
Start with LacPointer or lac-cli. Both are free to try and take less than two minutes to set up.
